Winner of the first Ultimate Fighter in 2005 and the most decorated fighter Albuquerque has produced by bonus count — seven Fight of the Night awards. Challenged BJ Penn for the UFC lightweight title at UFC 107. Last MMA bout March 2022; last combat appearance a bare-knuckle loss to Austin Trout at Tingley Coliseum in February 2023. Never formally retired.
